Do I need boxing experience?+
Not at all. The retreat is designed to be genuinely beginner-friendly — SOMA's coaches are experienced at meeting people exactly where they are, whether that is day one or year five. Complete beginners will learn fundamentals, build confidence and leave with real skill. Intermediate and advanced guests will find plenty to push against — more technical pad work, sparring options, and the depth of SOMA's coaching roster. You do not need to have boxed before. You just need to show up.
Can I come alone?+
Absolutely — and many of our guests do. The retreat is specifically designed to be one of the best solo travel experiences available. Groups of 10 to 20 people training together twice daily, eating together, exploring Bali together, and going through the same shared experience creates connections that form faster and run deeper than almost any other travel context. Guests who arrive alone consistently tell us they leave with friendships they did not expect. You will not feel like a solo traveller for long.
Are flights included?+
Flights are not included in the retreat price — guests book and manage their own flights to Bali (Ngurah Rai International Airport, DPS). Once you land, everything else is handled. Airport transfers both ways are included, so you will be met on arrival and taken directly to your accommodation. From that point, all transport, training, meals, experiences and support is covered for the full seven days. If you need guidance on flights, timings or which airlines to look at, just ask — we are happy to help.
What currency is the pricing in?+
All pricing on this website is in Australian Dollars (AUD). The retreat price of $2,899 and all add-ons, deposits, and referral discounts are quoted in AUD. If you're paying from overseas, your bank or payment provider will apply the relevant exchange rate at the time of transaction. Any questions about pricing — just ask via WhatsApp.
What level of fitness do I need?+
We'd suggest being reasonably active — comfortable sustaining moderate effort for 20 minutes. Training in Bali heat is more demanding than at home, but the programme is scalable. Guests of all fitness levels have completed the week successfully.
How many guests are on each retreat?+
A minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 guests. Enough to create genuine group energy — intimate enough to protect the quality of coaching, the connections between guests, and the overall experience.
What gear do I need to bring?+
Gloves, wraps and focus pads are all provided. Bring your own mouth guard and groin guard if you plan to spar. Good training shoes and comfortable gear covers everything else. SOMA's Fight Shop is on-site if you need anything on arrival.
What is included in the $2,899?+
Everything — 7 nights accommodation (shared twin occupancy), daily buffet breakfast, full SOMA Fight Club access for all seven days, 2 scheduled training sessions per day (striking and mobility), one free meal per day at SOMA, ice bath and sauna recovery every day, 1× private PT session with SOMA's local fight team, 1× massage through a trusted partner venue, a final-morning content pad session with Ray and Leo, airport transfers both ways, the SOMA Pink Card (20+ partner discounts), the LTE Bali Field Guide, all training gear provided, a welcome dinner with drinks on arrival night, a farewell dinner on the final night, a quad bike jungle adventure near Ubud, the Omma Day Club and Tegenungan Waterfall experience, and 5% of your retreat fee donated to a local Balinese charity. Accommodation upgrades to a 4-star venue and private 1-on-1 sessions are available at additional cost.
What is the 5% charity contribution?+
Five percent of every retreat's revenue is donated to a local Balinese charity partner, selected each season. Ray, Leo and the SOMA team present the contribution on behalf of all guests. This retreat is not only about training in Bali — it is about community, transformation, and contribution. The partner is confirmed and announced with each retreat's dates.
What is the deposit and cancellation policy?+
A 30% deposit ($870 AUD) secures your place. The deposit is non-refundable, but is transferable once to any future LTE retreat date. The balance is due 30 days before arrival. If you need to move your booking, simply let us know and we will transfer your deposit to the next available date.
When is the next retreat?+

Is there a women's retreat?+
Yes — the Luxury Women's Retreat is launching in 2026. A full week at SOMA built entirely for women, with coaches and programming designed around what women want from a combat sports environment. WhatsApp us with "Women's Retreat" to join the waitlist and be first when dates are confirmed.
Can I extend my stay in Bali?+
Absolutely. Many guests arrive a day early or extend after the retreat. Get in touch and we can help with planning.
Is travel insurance required?+
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering sports activities and medical evacuation. SOMA has 24/7 medical contacts available for all guests, but your own coverage provides full peace of mind.
